Kansas football all-time receiving yards: 11. Quintin Smith (1,547)

Quintin Smith had an incredible senior season for Kansas football in 1989, putting up 50 receptions for 898 yards and eight touchdowns. The Jayhawks were nothing special that year, only going 4-9 on the year, but Smith was fun to watch for fans.

Smith’s totals from college were 97 receptions for 1,547 yards and nine touchdowns. He hadn’t been real effective for the Jayhawks until his senior season, but it was impressive enough to get him into the NFL for a season.

Smith played in four games for the Chicago Bears in 1990 and had two catches for 20 yards during that time. He wasn’t a superstar by any means, but just making it to the NFL is a pretty big accomplishment.

That one season alone helped propel Quintin Smith to number 11 all-time for the Kansas Jayhawks in receiving yards.
