Kansas football all-time receiving yards: 4. Mark Simmons (2,161)

We’re now getting to the guys who recorded over 2,000 yards receiving and the first on the list is Mark Simmons, who had 2,161 yards in four years at Kansas. Simmons was an effective receiver for all four years during his college career and ended his time with KU totaling 155 receptions for 2,161 yards and 16 touchdowns.

His best year came in 2003 when he caught 40 passes for 769 yards and seven touchdowns. While Simmons never got back to over the 700 yard mark in a season, he still looked decent in his final two years and gave Kansas good production on the gridiron.

The Jayhawks were slowly, but surely improving during Simmons’ tenure and it stings a bit that he just missed the good years for KU football. Fortunately, however, he still can hang his hat on the fact that he’s fourth all-time in receiving yards at the University of Kansas.

There are only three KU players left on this list. Who will round out our countdown?
