Kansas City Chiefs Stock Report

Stock Up: Demetrius Harris

Fans have been frustrated with the slow development of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Demetrius Harris. However, he really came through this week, hauling in three catches that included a pair of touchdowns. Harris looked like a much more complete player than we’ve seen in the past, especially making contested catches.

Demetrius Harris came to Kansas City with a ton of potential. He was a camp star early on in 2013 as a former basketball player looking for a new career. Harris showed off his athletic talents repeatedly in practice, but it was slow in translating to production on the field.

The Kansas City offense really could use another solid tight end to compliment Travis Kelce. The competition right now appears to be between Demetrius Harris and Gavin Escobar for that role. If Harris can keep showing up the way he did this week, he’ll win that job.
