Kansas City Chiefs Stock Report

Stock Up: Kareem Hunt

Holy bell cow back! The Kansas City Chiefs made it clear that they wanted to get Kareem Hunt a lot of work in this week. Hunt’s 11 touches led the team’s efforts in this game. He picked up 40 yards on eight carries, and 23 yards on three receptions. It was a solid day for the rookie running back.

The Chiefs are having a strong running back competition in training camp right now. While Spencer Ware appears to still have the starting job locked up, Kareem Hunt is making an argument for himself. With a solid performance like this, it will be hard for Kansas City to keep him on the bench.

A lot will be decided in this battle next week, but we should expect to see a good bit of Kareem Hunt during the 2017 season. He may not be ready to take on a full-time starting job just yet, but it won’t be long before he is there.
