Kansas City Chiefs Stock Report

Stock Up: Ramik Wilson

We have come a long way from the start of the offseason when many believed inside linebacker was a top need for the Kansas City Chiefs. Ramik Wilson has solidified himself as the starter next to Derrick Johnson, and appears to also be the top backup to DJ as well. That says a lot about what the Chiefs think about his potential.

Coming into his third season in the NFL, Ramik Wilson is a guy with an interesting story. He’s played a lot in his first two seasons, despite not making the team out of camp last year. The Chiefs brought him back due to injuries, and Wilson earned their attention.

So far this preseason, Ramik Wilson has been a very solid football player. He’s shown the ability to get into the backfield, which is going to be a huge boost to the Chiefs if he does it consistently. If Wilson continues to play like this (not to mention improving), then Kansas City has found themselves another solid linebacker.
