Kansas City Chiefs: Things Learned In Preseason Week 2

#2 Allen Bailey Is Looking Great

Chris Jones wasn’t kidding when he told the media that “Allen Bailey The Hulk is back”. Bailey has been fantastic for the Kansas City Chiefs so far in preseason. He has repeatedly shown up in the opposing backfield, this week registering a big sack.

For the past couple of years, Allen Bailey has been a solid player on the Chiefs defensive front. However, he’s never been the guy that everyone focused on. That might just change this year if he keeps up what we have seen so far. Bailey has shown the ability to absolutely dominate on the line of scrimmage during the first two preseason games.

I wouldn’t rule out Allen Bailey’s early performance as a reason why the Chiefs are currently moving second round pick Tanoh Kpassagnon around the defense. If Bailey can be a playmaker up front, the Chiefs will absolutely want to try and re-sign him to a new contract before long.
