Kansas City Chiefs: Things Learned In Preseason Week 2

#5 Demetrius Harris Has Taken A Step Forward

There is no denying that it’s been frustrating for Kansas City Chiefs fans to watch the slow development of Demetrius Harris. However, the former basketball player turned NFL tight end is showing signs that he may be putting it all together finally. Harris had a solid day that included a pair of touchdowns.

The Kansas City offense is definitely best served by having a pair of reliable tight ends. Obviously Travis Kelce is holding up his end of things, but the Chiefs need someone to exploit the attention he’ll be getting. If Demetrius Harris can finally turn his potential into product, then he can end up having quite a season.

The key for the Chiefs is going to be having enough paymakers to keep defenses honest. Demetrius Harris is a guy with the athletic talent to be a dangerous match up. He’s developed slowly over the past couple of seasons, but it looks like he may have finally put things together.
