WEEKS 8 & 17: DENVER BRONCOS: VON MILLER, LB

This one is a no brainer. Von Miller is a Super Bowl MVP for a reason and it’s because he’s an insanely talented linebacker in the NFL. This is hard for me to admit, as I can’t stand the guy, but hey… I’ll give credit where credit is due.

Von Miller is one of the best in the league at rushing the passer for a reason.

In the Broncos and Chiefs’ first meeting last year (the thrilling come from behind victory and last second overtime win), Von Miller sacked Alex Smith three times. He was a monster.

The Chiefs offensive line stopped him in the second meeting, but Miller has always been a nuisance to Kansas City. He’s racked up 11 and a half sacks against the Chiefs during his six year career, so don’t doubt the fact that he’ll add a few to that total in 2017.

What makes me feel better about facing Von Miller now is that Mitchell Schwartz did a nice job at containing him on the Christmas night game. Schwartz was likely brought into Kansas City for that very reason, as when he was with the Browns, he was the only guy who could really stop Von Miller from eating all day.

Still, even with Schwartz on the right side of the line, Von Miller is one of the best in the league at rushing the passer for a reason.
