WEEKS 3 & 15: LOS ANGELES CHARGERS – JOEY BOSA, DE

I considered going with Casey Hayward here, but instead picked the Chargers’ rising star on the defensive side of the ball in Joey Bosa. The Chargers were fortunate when Bosa fell to them with the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and despite some hardships early on between the two, the kid is going to be a pass rush nightmare for years to come.

Bosa is going to wreck havoc on AFC West quarterbacks for the next decade.

Put this into perspective: Bosa missed the first four games last year and still managed to rack up ten and a half sacks. That’s pretty damn good.

Bosa wasn’t active in the week one game against Kansas City last year (if he had been, the Chiefs probably wouldn’t have come back and won that one), but he did play in the series finale. In that game, Bosa totaled five tackles and one sack.

When it comes to game planning against the Los Angeles Chargers, Joey Bosa is going to be on everyone’s minds. The worst news is that he just turned 22 years old in July, so Bosa is going to wreck havoc on AFC West quarterbacks for the next decade.

While I also could have went with Philip Rivers here, the Chiefs have had their way with him the last three seasons. He’s thrown five touchdowns and has been intercepted seven times during those six games.

So yeah… Joey Bosa is the right choice here.
