Kansas City Chiefs: 10 Things To Watch Vs The Bengals

#3 How Much Work Does Kareem Hunt Get?

One of the top position battles at Kansas City Chiefs training camp this year is running back. Spencer Ware is the incumbent starter, but there is a lot of hype surrounding Kareem Hunt. So far, Hunt has gotten some sporadic work with the first team offense, but Ware remains the primary starter. It will be interesting to see if that changes tomorrow.

Kareem Hunt was one of my favorite prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft. A consistent producer for the Toledo Rockets, Hunt has a lot to like about his game. However, Spencer Ware is not a scrub by any means. Ware had a very solid season in 2017, his first year as a full time starter. It is not inconceivable that he will improve this year.

This is one of the more interesting camp battles to watch for 2017, and it may be something that continues deep into the season. Both players are very talented and have something to offer. So seeing just how much the Chiefs are comfortable with working Kareem Hunt into the starting mix will be very intriguing.
