Kansas City Chiefs: 10 Things To Watch Vs The Bengals

#5 Can The Chiefs Create Pressure?

One major issue for the Kansas City Chiefs last year was the lack of a consistent pass rush. Various players were able to flash at certain points, but there was never a consistent attack. With the return of Justin Houston to full health, the Chiefs are expecting that to be much better this year.

The Chiefs did show some signs of a pass rush last week, but that largely came late in the game from Marcus Rush and Earl Okine. Neither player is likely to make the roster at this point. The defense needs to show more early on this week.

Of course, the real question here is whether or not Dee Ford can step up his game and become a consistent pass rusher. The Chiefs linebacker has admitted he needs to do as much. While Ford put up 10 sacks last year, they largely came over a five-game period. He has to be a force on a much more regular basis.
