Kansas City Chiefs: 10 Things To Watch Vs The Bengals
#9 How Does The Secondary Hold Up?
Over the past week, the Kansas City Chiefs have had some injury concerns in the secondary. Throughout this week of practice, Bob Sutton has had to line up multiple groups of starting defensive backs. That is going to be a big concern for this game.
Most notably, the Chiefs have had to work without Eric Berry, Terrance Mitchell, and Steven Nelson at various points this week. All three are players that are projected to get a lot of playing time. This will absolutely test the Kansas City secondary depth, especially with the quality passing game of the Bengals.
Having to cover AJ Green and Tyler Eifert with a mix and match secondary is not going to be an easy task. This is likely going to be the biggest struggle the Chiefs have tomorrow night. It may even be enough to show the KC front office that they should consider looking for more secondary help.
