Kansas City Chiefs: 10 Things To Watch Vs The Bengals

#10 Where Does Tanoh Kpassagnon Play?

One of the more interesting developments of the past week is how the Kansas City Chiefs are using second round pick Tanoh Kpassagnon. The rookie defender has lined up at defensive tackle, defensive end, and outside linebacker for the Chiefs now. The coaching staff is raving about him, so it will be interesting to see where he lines up tomorrow night.

It may be to the Chiefs advantage if they can play Tanoh Kpassagnon at outside linebacker. That would give Kansas City a very intimidating group of edge players when you consider Allen Bailey, Chris Jones, and Justin Houston would all be in the mix there. It would also mean the team could offer a contract extension to Bailey without overcrowding at defensive end.

Since Andy Reid arrived in Kansas City, he has made efforts for the team to bring in more versatile players. That allows the coaching staff to change their schemes to match up better against their opponents. Having a versatile player like Tanoh Kpassagnon fits right into that mold, maybe even better than anticipated.
