It’s hard to believe that Matthew Stafford has been in the league for eight years now and will be heading into his ninth pro year! It seems just like yesterday when the Georgia boy was being drafted number one overall by the Lions.
Even without Calvin Johnson last year, Stafford still put up good numbers in Detroit. He threw for 4,327 yards, 24 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.

The best part about Stafford is that he is as durable as any quarterback in the NFL, not having missed a start since the 2010 season. When it comes to fantasy football, health is one of the most important things you can ask of your starters, and Stafford is one of the best at staying on the field.
Stafford put up 279.8 points last year in fantasy and should look to build on that in his second year without Megatron. With weapons like Eric Ebron, Marvin Jones, and Golden Tate, Stafford is set up to have another good year.
Look to pick up Stafford sometime after the 12th round.
