Kansas City Chiefs: 10 Things From St Joe’s

#9 Kareem Hunt Has Some Real Talent

Apart from Patrick Mahomes, there may not have been a Kansas City Chiefs draft pick more hyped than running back Kareem Hunt. The former Toledo Rocket set a number of school marks in his college career, and was a solid producer his whole time there. That talent and ability seems to be transitioning well as Hunt is getting a lot of work with the starters already.

The Chiefs do not have a bad running back situation by any means. Coming into this year, both Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West had proven they have the talent to be an effective combination. The Chiefs may not have been a top rushing team last year, but they were still decent.

The fact that Kareem Hunt has already jumped into the starting mix is a great sign for the rookie. He showed himself to be a well-rounded back during his time at Toledo, and so far it is transferring well. If Hunt keeps to this pace, he may be the team’s top back at some  point in the 2017 season.
