Kansas City Chiefs Rookies

Kareem Hunt – RB

If there is one player in the Kansas City Chiefs 2017 draft class with a chance to become a starter, it’s probably Kareem Hunt. The rookie running back has been impressive early on in camp, and has the least amount of resistance ahead of him. That said, Hunt is still clearly the backup to Spencer Ware at this point.

Kareem Hunt was one of my favorite draft prospects this year. However, the Chiefs do have a good running back situation. Spencer Ware may not have gone for 1000 yards last year, but he was close, and was also a good receiving back. With his ability and knowledge of the offense, it makes sense to keep starting Ware.

How Does He Get On The Field?

Spencer Ware is a good running back, but there is some question as to whether or not he’s a premier back. If the Chiefs begin to feel that Ware is best suited for a complimentary role, then it will likely fall on Kareem Hunt to step up and take the bulk of the work.
