Kansas City Chiefs draft picks unlikely to start in 2017

Jehu Chesson – WR
The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have much in terms of established wide receivers. However, the roster is full of potential and raw talent. Jehu Chesson has that going for him, but he’s still got to do something to get ahead of the rest of the Chiefs young receivers. That may be a tough task for him to do this year.
Jehu Chesson was once considered a top draft prospect, but a knee injury set him back in his final year. The Chiefs drafted him based on potential, but that can take a while to find. Chesson is going to have to work hard this year to earn snaps. I see him going a similar path as Demarcus Robinson has taken so far.
How Does He Get On The Field?
In today’s NFL, teams often go three deep in “starting” wide receivers thanks to the heavy use of the slot receiver. That’s going to be Jehu Chesson’s ticket to starting. The rookie needs to show that he offers more in the slot than any of the other receivers on the depth chart. That’s a tougher task than you might think though.
