Kansas City Chiefs Rookies

Leon McQuay – DB

Not only does Leon McQuay stand little chance of starting for the Kansas City Chiefs this year, I would question whether he makes the roster. The Chiefs don’t have great depth at cornerback, but McQuay still hasn’t been able to jump up the chart at this point. That’s not a good sign for him, especially with the safety depth being locked up.

The good news for Leon McQuay is that the guys he has to beat out are largely in the same boat. It’s not as though he’s going up against a deep field of talent. All McQuay needs to do is show he has the talent and potential to be valuable to the Chiefs in the future.

How Does He Get On The Field?

If there is one position on this team where a guy has a chance to play his way onto the field, it’s probably at cornerback. The Chiefs do not have a ton of established talent there, and it appears to be a pretty open competition. If there are any struggles or injuries to the starters, the door is wide open for Leon McQuay…if he can earn it.
