Stock Down: Frank Zombo
By now, Kansas City Chiefs fans know what to expect from Frank Zombo. He’s not the kind of guy you want starting, but he’s a decent backup and Special Teams guy. However, that value may not be enough for him to keep his roster spot this year, despite a new contract.
This doesn’t have much to do with Frank Zombo’s play on Friday night, but rather that of young linebackers Marcus Rush and Earl Okine. The two youngsters got into the game late, but definitely made their presence known as both harassed the San Francisco backfield.
Granted, they were working against backup, but both Marcus Rush and Earl Okine showed a good deal of potential. It has to have at least been enough for the Chiefs to be intrigued to see more. Don’t be surprised if they get more snaps in the next contest. Those snaps will likely come at the expense of Frank Zombo.
