Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Target in 2017 – Number 10: MARTELLUS BENNETT

2016 Ranking: 10th

Martellus Bennett was a nice surprise to those who drafted him last year. With Rob Gronkowski missing a good chunk of 2016, Bennett stepped in nicely and was one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets en route to the Patriots’ Super Bowl win.

If you load up on wide receivers and running backs first, Bennett will be a steal to add to your team later on.

Bennett racked up 168.1 points last year and this year will be another solid option to look into drafting. He went from Tom Brady to Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback, which means that his production shouldn’t decline too much, as long as he’s healthy.

While in New England, Bennett totaled 55 receptions for 701 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s definitely a starter in fantasy football leagues, but isn’t worth drafting until the tenth round or so. If you load up on wide receivers and running backs first, Bennett will be a steal to add to your team later on.

At 30 years old, Martellus Bennett is only getting better and he should pay nice dividends to your team if you draft him. Just keep your fingers crossed that he stays healthy.
