Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Target in 2017 – Number 12: ERIC EBRON

2016 Ranking: 14th

Eric Ebron has started to figure it out for the Detroit Lions and year four of his young career should prove to be a good one. Ebron only found the end zone once last year, but had over 700 yards receiving.

Matthew Stafford targeted Ebron 85 times last year, the most in Ebron’s career. Look for that trend to continue, as the Lions are still without a legitimate pass catcher in the wide receiver area. Ebron is a huge target and Stafford will look to add to give him a career high in touchdowns (currently sits at five, which he did in 2015).

Ebron didn’t amass the 100 yard receiving mark last year, but he came close in two games. One game saw Ebron with 93 receiving yards and another saw him with 92.

While fantasy football fans might be skeptical of drafting Ebron due to his lack of finding the end zone, he’s still worthy of a late round pick. His yardage will be good and hopefully he can score more touchdowns this season.
