Kansas City Chiefs Depth Chart Surprises

#4 Justin March-Lillard Dropped To Third Team

When he first came onto the scene with the Kansas City Chiefs, Justin March-Lillard was an instant hit with the fans. An undrafted free agent who was making plays every time he stepped onto the field. It was enough to earn him a starting job in 2016.

However, things have apparently changed in Kansas City as Justin March-Lillard is now listed with the third string defense. That is not a good sign for him as this is a spot very much subject to being a cut. The Chiefs will only keep around four or five inside linebackers, depending on Special Teams ability.

The fact that Justin March-Lillard is running with the third team would seem to be an indication that the Chiefs don’t think he has much more to give. Of course, this could be an attempt at a “wake up call”, but that seems unlikely. March-Lillard needs to step up his game in a big way if he wants to keep his job.
