Kansas City Chiefs Depth Chart Surprises

#5 Bryan Witzmann Is Your Starting Left Guard

When the Kansas City Chiefs first signed him to a contract extension, there were plenty of fans who didn’t even know who Bryan Witzmann was. Now it appears that he is in line for a starting job on the offensive line. Sometimes things can change that quickly.

Of course, the real surprise to this is that the job is not going to Zach Fulton. The Chiefs had turned to Fulton in 2016 to start at left guard, and have previously had him starting at both center and right guard in the past. The fact that Witzmann has jumped ahead of him on the depth chart is very interesting.

Now, this starting job probably belongs to Parker Ehinger whenever he gets back from his injury. However, we don’t really know when that will be, so in the meantime this is Bryan Witzmann’s show. That’s quite an opportunity for a guy that most of us didn’t even know just a month ago.
