The Kansas City Chiefs defense carried the rest of the team in 2017. They were also a very good Fantasy Football unit. This is a defense that is absolutely loaded with superstars and plays with an aggressive mindset on every down. Some key additions will help fix the few shortcomings they had in 2016
2016 Ranking: 4th
Yes, the Chiefs will be improving on this mark. Over the past couple of years, Kansas City has excelled at getting the football from the other team. They are also very dangerous on kick and punt returns. This is a unit that can score on any given play, and that makes them a potential high scoring unit every week.
The run defense and pass rush weren’t up to par for the Chiefs in 2016. That should not be the case in 2017 as the team brought in run specialist Bennie Logan for the defensive line, and is getting a healthy Justin Houston back for the start of the year. Those two are difference makers.
