#5 Arizona Cardinals
As far as Fantasy Football goes, the Cardinals have the makings of a top tier defense. This is a unit that can take the ball away, and that is absolutely key. However, they don’t always play up to their ability and that can hurt an owner. Still very much worth the investment though.
2016 Ranking: 3rd
The Cardinals suffered a down season in 2016, and it remains to be seen if that is a one-year thing or an actual trend. One thing is for sure, they won’t be able to rely on the offense to hold up for much longer. That is not something that should be overlooked as a heavily used defense will tend to tire out over the year.
Arizona’s defense should be able to hang on for at least another year though. This group looks to be solid again and they have the talent to change games. As long as they can continue to make plays, the Cardinals D/ST will continue to put solid points on the board for their fantasy owners.
