Fantasy Football season is coming up on us fast. Get ready for your league’s draft with our position projections, starting with defense and special teams.

It’s that time of year for all you Fantasy Football players out there. Your league draft should be coming up soon, and that means you need to get an edge. So now it’s time to start scouring the internet and magazine racks for any bit of information you can find on the upcoming season. We’re here to help you out, starting with your Defense/Special Teams units.

Truth be told, there probably isn’t any Fantasy Football projection harder to make than the defense. There are so many factors involved here that things can literally change in a single day. Injuries, suspensions, or a down year for any one of eleven guys can have a major impact.

On top of that, you can have an absolutely stellar defense that simply doesn’t translate well to Fantasy Football. In fantasy, keeping an opposing offense in check will get some points, but not a whole lot. What you really need are sacks and turnovers, as well as the occasional defensive or Special Teams score.

That’s the big thing to keep in mind when you look at fantasy projections and rankings on defenses. This isn’t a projection of who the best defense will be in the NFL, it’s a projection of who will put up the most fantasy points for you. There is a huge difference between fantasy football and real football.

So let’s not waste anymore time. Get your notebooks out and prepare to update your draft rankings. Here are the top 15 projected Fantasy Football D/ST units for the 2017 season…
