Week 4 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Washington Redskins

Monday, October 2nd, 2017 (7:30 CST kickoff on ESPN)

With a 1-2 record, the Chiefs return home to Arrowhead for Monday Night Football against the Washington Redskins. The Chiefs have had the Redskins’ number, going 8-1 against them in the two franchises’ history. Washington only beat Kansas City in 1983, in case you were wondering.

Anyway – This will be a fun game! For one, it’s on Monday night and the Chiefs were not given any Monday night games a season ago. Second, the Redskins could actually be a playoff team, so this could be a real competitive game!

If Cousins has a good day, this game could go badly for the Chiefs.

The Redskins have had their fair share of drama this offseason, mostly surrounding their quarterback Kirk Cousins. Cousins has played on the franchise tag the last two seasons and the team doesn’t seem willing to give him a mega contract even though tons of NFL teams would love to have Cousins as their starter.

Washington as a whole doesn’t scare me, but if Cousins has a good day, this game could go badly for the Chiefs. The Redskins added Terrelle Pryor to their ranks, which should give Cousins a good target to throw to throughout the season.

With this being a primetime game at Arrowhead, I just don’t see how the Chiefs let the Washington Redskins come into the Sea of Red and let them leave with a victory. Not on a Monday night game in the loudest outdoor stadium in the world.

Prediction: It’ll be another glorious Monday night game at Arrowhead with the Chiefs dismantling Washington. Things will be close at first, but Kansas City will break off in the second half. 30-13, Chiefs.

Standout Player: Alex Smith outduels Kirk Cousins in this game and nothing in the world makes sense anymore.
