Week 9 – Kansas City Chiefs at Dallas Cowboys

Sunday, November 5th, 2017 (3:25 CST kickoff on CBS)

With the exception of the Denver game, this really is the meat of the Chiefs’ schedule. If they can emerge out of this tough stretch of games, then we’ll really know what this group is made of. I don’t seem to be all that optimistic about their chances though, sadly.

Now I’ll say this… I don’t expect the Dallas Cowboys to be nearly as good this season as they were in 2016. No one was expecting Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott to come into the league and take everyone by storm, but the two rookies did just that.

Last year, the Cowboys were one of the more complete teams in the NFL.

As for 2017, the Cowboys won’t be wrecking as much havoc in the NFC as they did the year prior. The ‘Boys should be the favorites to win the NFC East, but the league will have some time to figure out the two rookie sensations from a season ago.

Last year, the Cowboys were one of the more complete teams in the NFL. Their offense was always putting up a solid amount of points and the defense held opponents to less than 20 points in four straight games (the Cowboys won all four of those games too).

I think Kansas City will give Prescott and his ‘Boys a run for their money in the Big D, but this will be a game stacked against the Chiefs.

Prediction: It’ll be a close game, but Dallas puts up the final points and reigns supreme. 27-24, Cowboys.

Standout Player: Marcus Peters will return an interception for a touchdown late in the game to make this a little more interesting.
