SCOTT FELDMAN (CINCINNATI REDS)

7-6 record, 3.94 ERA, 1.266 WHIP (Free agent in 2018)

The next few pitchers are ones that I could actually see the KC Royals making a go at trading for. The first is Scott Feldman of the Cincinnati Reds. Feldman’s stats are pretty good this season, which could make him a bigger name than expected on the trade market.

Maybe it’s the fact that the Royals have traded for a starting pitcher from the Reds before, but this just seems like a deal that Kansas City could actually make. Feldman will be a free agent in 2018 and despite his solid 2017 season, doesn’t seem to be on the radar as much as some of these other guys.

Out of all of the names on the starter market, Scott Feldman is the one I like the most. His under four ERA is going to draw bigger market teams eventually and at that point, the Royals may be out of luck. I do like this trade potentially happening though. Scott Feldman just screams “Royal” to me.
