MOST DISAPPOINTING ROYAL SO FAR – NUMBER 1: BRANDON MOSS

Without a doubt, the most disappointing Royal so far in 2017 has been Brandon Moss. The Royals inked Moss to a two-year deal this offseason, but the guy has been dreadful at the plate.

Considering all Moss has to do on a daily basis is hit the ball and get guys to home plate, he’s not doing his share at all. He’s so bad that the team actually slotted Jorge Soler in as the designated hitter for several games despite Soler being just as bad.

Moss is slashing .193/.265/.392 with ten home runs in 181 at bats, which is not exactly the type of production fans were hoping to see from their designated hitter. If Moss continues to struggle, the Royals will desperately need to consider adding a DH through the trade market in the coming weeks.

When the Royals signed Brandon Moss, everyone figured “Awesome! This guy can hit homers!”, but he’s been lacking at that even. Moss needs to get it going or else the Royals are going to have wasted a ton of money on him.
