Kansas State all-time leaders in rushing yards: 11: Eric Gallon (1,960)

Eric Gallon spent his first season in Manhattan (1989) as a wide receiver, where he caught 27 passes for 219 yards. He was then switched over to the running back position and fared much better there.

The production didn’t come right away for Gallon, as he only had 13 yards on the ground during his sophomore season in 1990. The next year, his junior season, was when Gallon hit the ground running, literally.

You better believe that Eric Gallon had a big part in helping KSU get seven wins that season.

That year saw Eric Gallon rush for 1,102 yards off 224 attempts and nine touchdowns. He only had 705 yards during his senior season in 1992, but it’s tough to forget about that impressive campaign he had in 1991 as a junior.

The Wildcats had a nice season in 1991, going 7-4, which was one of their first winning records since the 1950s. You better believe that Eric Gallon had a big part in helping KSU get seven wins that season.

Gallon didn’t go on to do much of anything in football after his time at Kansas State, but he sat just 40 yards shy of reaching 2,000 rushing yards for his career. He’s 11th all-time for the Cats.
