Kansas State all-time leaders in rushing yards: 2: John Hubert (2,993)

Arguably another all-time great running back for the Kansas State football program comes in at number two on this list and it’s John Hubert. Hubert barely missed out on the 3,000 yard rushing mark, but still is second best all-time.

Hubert spent four years in Manhattan and had one season where he rushed for over 1,000 yards. That came in 2013, where he took the ball 198 times for 1,048 yards and ten touchdowns. The Cats went 8-5 that year and won the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (which yes, was a thing, believe it or not).

Hubert had two other solid seasons, which were in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, Hubert had 200 carries for 970 yards, but only three touchdowns. He emerged as the favorite to be the starter the following season and he definitely backed up that logic with another solid performance.

In 2012, Hubert had 189 carries for 947 yards and 15 touchdowns, which was the most in a single season for the back. He didn’t go on to the NFL, but Hubert played a big role in those successful 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Who has more rushing yards than John Hubert? Let’s find out!
