Kansas State Football: All-Time Leaders in Rushing Yards
Kansas State all-time leaders in rushing yards: 6: Collin Klein (2,485)
At last! A quarterback from Kansas State University has appeared on this list and it’s none other than Collin Klein, who is arguably the best quarterback to ever stroll though Manhattan.
Klein spent his first year with K-State as a wide receiver, but he was wisely transitioned over to quarterback for his sophomore season in 2010. Bill Snyder, once again, proved to be a genius with that decision, as Klein broke all kinds of records during his time as the K-State quarterback.
Klein’s final two years with Kansas State were insanely good, both in the air and on the ground. Klein was unstoppable on the ground during his junior season in 2011, rushing for 1,141 yards and an unbelievable 27 touchdowns. He also threw for 1,918 yards and 13 touchdowns that year.

In Collin Klein’s final season, he rushed for 920 yards with 23 touchdowns. Klein was always a threat to take off running when he quarterbacked the Cats and won the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Award for his efforts on the field.
Klein didn’t make it in the NFL, which isn’t shocking considering the style of quarterback play in the pros is much different than what he was accustom to at K-State. He is currently on the Kansas State football coaching staff.
Collin Klein is easily one of the best quarterbacks to ever play for Kansas State football and he’s sixth all-time in rushing yards for the program. That further proves just how good he was.
