Louis Riddick – ESPN Analyst
I like to see teams thinking outside the box, and the Kansas City Chiefs may be doing just that. While the focus will likely be on guys currently holding front office jobs, there are some options in other fields. One of those is ESPN analyst Louis Riddick.
Of course, Louis Riddick does have some front office history. In fact, his experience with the Philadelphia Eagles is probably the exact reason why there may be interest. Andy Reid likes working with people that he knows, so it makes sense to go that route. Riddick is also considered by many to be one of the sharpest football minds out there.
However, there is a bit of a snag on this one. Despite the reports from Ian Rapoport on the Chiefs setting up an interview, Riddick himself has dismissed the claims. In a tweet, the NFL analyst (citing himself as the source) refuted the claim that he had been contacted by Kansas City or that there was an interview set up.
That doesn’t mean the Chiefs aren’t interested, or haven’t planned on reaching out. However, it does probably indicate that nothing has happened yet.
