Kansas City Royals RP Trade Targets

Brad Hand – San Diego Padres

My personal favorite target for the Kansas City Royals is the Padres Brad Hand. The young lefty has been absolutely solid for San Diego this year. He is currently sitting on an 11.9 strike outs per nine innings mark. That is incredibly impressive, and will make him a desired target.

On top of his quality stats, Brad Hand is also just 27 years old, and under contract through the 2019 season. That makes him one of the absolute best additions for a contending team to make. The Royals could certainly use him in the late rotation, and maybe more in the future.

Of course, you don’t come with as much potential as Brad Hand and not have a high price tag. The Padres will be looking to get the most out of this deal, and they will have plenty of suitors. However, the fact that so many teams will be after him speaks to just how much value he has. Sometimes, it’s just worth it to make the move.
