AJ Ramos – Miami Marlins

There is a chance that the Kansas City Royals will be in the market for a closer. Kelvin Herrera has not been consistent this season. However, that door swings both ways. There are a number of other closers out there that are also struggling, but still have good value elsewhere. One of them is Miami’s AJ Ramos.

One thing that AJ Ramos could bring to the Royals immediately is a veteran arm for the bullpen. He may be having an off year, but he’s a proven commodity. On top of that, Ramos is also under control through the 2018 season. That is an enticing thought for a player that could easily bounce back.

The big thing for Ramos’s value though is that he’s currently having some struggles. That means the Marlins won’t be able to ask for very much in return. That’s a lot of potential value for a guy who won’t cost a whole lot to pursue.
