The KC Royals are starting to look like the Royals of the 2014 and 2015 seasons again and that should help their chances of getting a few guys into the 2017 All-Star Game in Miami. Which five Royals deserve to make it to the big game?

Back in 2015, Kansas City Royals fans gladly stuffed the ballot boxes when trying to get their guys into the All-Star Game. This season it’s not surprising that the results haven’t looked quite like they did then, but the Royals have gotten back to a respectable mark in the standings and the fans are back into the game!

Right now, the Royals likely have three guys set to head to the All-Star Game, but there are still several other members of the KC Royals who deserve a chance to play in Miami in July. So which five guys deserve to show off their skills to the rest of the country? Let’s take a look.

ROYALS WHO DESERVE TO BE ALL-STARS – NUMBER 5: LORENZO CAIN

Lorenzo Cain has been one of the most popular Royals over the last few years and he was an easy starter in the 2015 All-Star Game. Cain is having a nice year in 2017, slashing .276/.352/.451 in 268 at bats.

Cain has hit ten home runs, seven of those coming in the month of June and has plated 27 RBI this season. He, like the rest of his teammates, was off to a slow start for the Royals, but it appears that Cain is back to his former self at the plate.

Ultimately I don’t see Lorenzo Cain making it, as guys like Mike Trout and Aaron Judge are no brainers to win the vote as starting outfielders. Cain could find his way in as an alternate, but at the end of the day, I don’t see him playing in Miami.

Get to voting, Royals fans! Cain deserves to be an All-Star!
