Kansas City Chiefs Top GM Candidates #3
Mike Borgonzi: Kansas City Chiefs
Realistically, the best thing for the Kansas City Chiefs in terms of continuity of leadership is to keep the GM position in house. Fortunately, the Chiefs have built a strong front office over the past few years. One of the top names in the KC front office right now is Co-Director of Player Personnel Mike Borgonzi.

Borgonzi has actually been with the Chiefs for quite some time now. He is one of the few remaining holdovers from the Pioli era in Kansas City. The fact that he has now outlasted two different GMs is actually a pretty impressive feat. It’s also a sign as to why he might be in the mix for the Chiefs top job.
Amongst the Chiefs in-house GM candidates could be Mike Borgonzi. Profiles as a strong future GM with his pro and college background.

Mike Borgonzi knows Kansas City and what they have been trying to build. He’s seen multiple ways of running a front office, and he has a relationship with both Clark Hunt and Andy Reid. That is a firm foundation on which to build from. The fact that he’s been so involved in what the Chiefs have done over the past few years should make him a favorite.
