Lake Dawson: Buffalo Bills

Former players are starting to get a lot of attention as potential GMs in the NFL, and former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Lake Dawson is among them. Dawson climbed quickly in the Titans organization before taking a job with the Bills this offseason. There are many who believe he’s due for a top job very soon.

There is an obvious connection with the Chiefs here. Lake Dawson would have some decent clout when walking into the building. He’s also likely to have some backing from former Kansas City GM Carl Peterson who is now a top consultant for GM searches. That strong home town connection could go over well with Clark Hunt.

The big question here though will be experience. Lake Dawson has been in the front office world for a few years now, but his route is untraditional. There really is no telling what the Chiefs will be looking for in their next GM, but the previous two were certainly very experienced.
