Kansas City Royals Single-Season Home Runs #10 (tied)

Kendrys Morales – 30 (2016)

One of the best moves Dayton Moore has made in his tenure as Kansas City Royals GM was the signing of Kendrys Morales. The journeyman DH was brought into KC for a single reason: to hit home runs. Morales did a good bit of that for the Royals and was a key part of the 2014 and 2015 teams.

However, his best season as a home run hitter came in a disappointing 2016 campaign. The Royals had a number of solid individual performances throughout the year, but couldn’t put things together for another postseason run. Morales was one of those who had a solid individual season.

It’s not easy to hit home runs in Kauffman Stadium these days, yet Kendrys Morales was still able to have a solid season. 30 home runs in a single year is nothing to turn your nose up at, especially when talking about the Kansas City Royals.
