Kansas City Royals Single-Season Home Runs #10 (tied)

George Brett – 30 (1985)

We kick off our list of all-time single-season home run leaders with the man everyone associates with the Kansas City Royals. It comes as no surprise to anyone that George Brett owns most of the single-season and career records for KC. However, this isn’t one of them even though he cracks the top-10.

Until recently, 1985 was the pinnacle of Royals baseball. That was “our year”. A championship was brought home to Kansas City and the Royals were the toast of the town. However, after that season things would go downhill for a very long time.

George Brett was the chief cog in that Royals championship team, as he was for the team in general for so many years. He’s one of the most beloved sports figures in all of Kansas City history. His 1985 season is one of the many reasons why.
