Kansas City Chiefs Release Jeremy Maclin

Is There More To Come?

One thing we do know about the Kansas City Chiefs is that there is always a plan with John Dorsey. What that plan might be, well that’s a different story. However, there are a number of things he may have up his sleeve this offseason.

The first thing that comes to mind for me is that the Chiefs may be looking for a trade. The team has been very active in that market since Dorsey became the GM. In fact, the Chiefs trading for a receiver was one suggested move by FanSided’s Brad Weiss. Apparently KC was even looking to trade Maclin.

Apart from the trade market though, I expect a few more surprising cuts. Names like Dustin Colquitt, Charcandrick West, Jah Reid, and Anthony Sherman may be on the board. The Chiefs have already shocked fans by releasing Jaye Howard and now Jeremy Maclin. Don’t put anything past them.

The move to release Jeremy Maclin is a shocking one for the Kansas City Chiefs. I’m not buying anybody saying they saw this coming, especially not now. Chiefs fans have come to trust John Dorsey, and I would advise to keep the faith. However, this is definitely going to be a major story line of the KC offseason.
