IAN KENNEDY

Ian Kennedy has now had two starts since returning from the disabled list and neither were great outings. In his last start, Kennedy gave up four runs in five innings of work, but managed to get the last eight batters out without any problems. That was reassuring too, as his team made sure he didn’t earn his fifth loss.

Kennedy has yet to win a game this season, but a lot of that is due to his offense failing to support him. His ERA is a bit high though, especially for being the “number two guy” at the beginning of the season, sitting at 4.43 after eight starts.

Kennedy is set to pitch on Wednesday against the Tigers and hopefully will be pitching in a potential series winning game for the Royals. He started to show some juice near the end of his last outing and the Royals could really use a good performance from Ian Kennedy.

Perhaps a dominant stretch will begin on Wednesday.
