RE-SIGNING A FUTURE LEGEND

Before the Kansas City Chiefs added their future franchise quarterback in the draft, they made a lot of fans very happy by re-signing safety Eric Berry. Berry was inked to a six-year deal worth $78 million, making him the highest paid safety in the game.

There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Chiefs wanted Berry back in Kansas City and that they wanted him to be a career Chief. Ever since being a first round pick in 2010, Berry has turned heads.

He had a phenomenal rookie year and continued to wow everyone on the field with his play in the secondary. Berry really made headlines though when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma during the 2014 season. He missed the final few games that year, but was back on the field for the 2015 season, which is just incredible.

The Chiefs had to bring Eric Berry back and they did so this offseason. It was without a doubt one of the best offseason stories for the team.
