The KC Royals lost another series this past week and will now look to rebound on the road against the Cleveland Indians. Which Royals should fans be keeping an eye on in this series?

The Kansas City Royals need to win a series and doing so against this weekend’s opponent could be difficult. The Royals have struggled against the Cleveland Indians dating back to last season and their offense really hasn’t gotten much going aside from crushing home runs (which aren’t giving them wins).

Going in the Royals’ favor, however, is that they’ll have their two best starters taking the mound during this series. Those two guys are Danny Duffy and Jason Vargas, both who had nice outings while in New York.

The starting rotation has been the saving grace for this Royals team so far into 2017, but their offense hasn’t been backing them up. Hopefully that changes soon and this Royals squad can get into a hot streak. That’s something they’ve yet to really have for the duration of the season.

Here are the five Kansas City Royals to keep an eye on in this series!

DANNY DUFFY

When the KC Royals extended Danny Duffy this past offseason, the impression was that he was going to become the ace of this staff. Duffy has delivered so far, posting a 2.92 ERA in ten games and 64.2 innings pitched.

Duffy’s record sits at 4-3 and he’s had very few weak starts so far. He’s looked very ace-like and is pitching just how this team expected him to when he was given the extension.

Duffy will toe the slab on Sunday and hopefully will be pitching in a game where the Royals have the chance to sweep the series.
