IAN KENNEDY

This one might end up being irrelevant, but if Ian Kennedy does indeed pitch on Saturday, then he’s a guy to watch for sure. Kennedy has missed his last two starts after aggravating his hamstring a few weeks ago.

Kennedy has been solid this season, posting a respectable 3.03 ERA while striking out 31 batters. He hasn’t been rewarded for his efforts, however, as he’s still yet to grab a win this season. That’s not Kennedy’s fault though. His offense isn’t backing him up so HOPEFULLY they can finally give him some run support if he does indeed return to the rotation this weekend.

Ian Kennedy could be an interesting name to watch this season because there’s a small chance he could be on the trade block (At least in my opinion). The Royals tried to deal Kennedy last season in a package with Wade Davis, but everything fell through.

Kennedy has the second biggest contract for the team and if a team is wanting a middle of the rotation guy for their playoff roster, they might not mind spending a few extra bucks.

Something to think about for sure.
