ERIC HOSMER

Hey, watch out! Eric Hosmer is finally starting to show that he’s worth a huge contract this offseason and he has the numbers to back it up.

With Hosmer’s hot hitting lately, fans have to be in a tough spot right now.

Hosmer is currently slashing .298/.359/.411 in 37 games and 141 at bats. He’s belted three home runs and plated 15 RBI. The former first round pick is getting hot at the plate and that’s what Royals fans have been dying to see all season long.

We all knew that Eric Hosmer was capable of becoming the true hero at the plate and now he’s doing just that. Obviously it’d be nice to see the power a little more, as Hosmer only has three home runs (Mike Moustakas has eight), but you have to take what you can get right now.

It’s tough hitting home runs at the K and maybe that’s been why Hosmer’s power numbers aren’t what many were hoping they’d be.

With Hosmer’s hot hitting lately, fans have to be in a tough spot right now. Obviously we want him to succeed because it means the Royals are succeeding, but the better Hoz is hitting, the likelier it is that he’ll be saying sayonara to the club this offseason.
