MOST DESPISED ATHLETES IN KC – NUMBER 7: JOSE BAUTISTA

Back when the Kansas City Royals were World Series contenders (feels like such a long time ago, does it not?), they were making enemies right and left. One such enemy came in the form of Jose Bautista, an outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bautista was one of the notable players who tweeted about the fans needing to not elect all of the Royals to go to the All-Star Game that summer. He also continued to run his mouth about the Royals getting all of the love, telling Yahoo Sports Radio,

"“I understand loyalty from Royals fans and wanting to have their players there,” Bautista told Yahoo Sports Radio in June. “But as a baseball fan, not just a Royals fan, you have to want the best players starting the All-Star Game. I don’t know what’s going on, if there’s a 14-year-old computer whiz creating all these fake accounts, who knows?”"

Sounded like someone was jealous.

While that didn’t make Royals fans the happiest, the Bautista beef didn’t stop there. After the two teams had a bench-clearing brawl while in Toronto, the outfielder took to Twitter to slam the Royals while they were down.

After that tweet went out, late Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura then posted a lengthy comment on Twitter, which was deleted quickly after.

While Royals fans certainly weren’t fond of Jose Bautista after all of this went down, he’s low on this list because this was a stupid feud. Both teams were the American League champion contenders at the time and wanted to be the top dogs of the conference.

When the Blue Jays came to the K for the ALCS a few months later, the fans let Jose Bautista hear how much they disliked him. I believe he was booed in 2016 as well.

Royals fans don’t forget, Jose. They also don’t forget whooping your Jays’ butts in that ALCS to go on and win the World Series that year. Bye Felicia.
