Kansas City Sports Roundup

Kansas City Chiefs

When it comes to Kansas City sports, the Chiefs are the rulers of the kingdom. Following the Chiefs is a year round task. Between the regular and post season, Free Agency, the NFL Draft, and the various offseason practices, there is never a shortage of news regarding KC’s favorite team.

Rookie Minicamp

Chiefs fans were given a brief (and largely second-hand) taste of what new quarterback Patrick Mahomes has to offer. The first quarterback taken by Kansas City in the first round of the draft in 30 years has a ton of hype around him. However, the Chiefs are begging patience as he has a long ways to go.

Brett Favre Talks Andy Reid

Speaking of Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs fans were treated to some insight on what he will get from Andy Reid. BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com talked with Brett Favre, who is often used as a comparison for Mahomes, about the Hall of Fame quarterback’s time with Reid in Green Bay. It is 100% worth a read.

Andrew Tiller Signed

As General Manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, John Dorsey’s job never stops. There were plenty of signings and try outs this past week, but none more noteworthy than that of veteran guard Andrew Tiller. My own take on this though is to not read much into it. I’m sure the Chiefs would love to see a veteran like Tiller beaten out by 2016 fourth round pick Parker Ehinger.
