Is there a more iconic photo in Kansas City Chiefs history than Len Dawson smoking a cigarette at halftime of Superbowl I? The Chiefs gunslinger sitting in a chair, as cool as can be, having a smoke. That’s all you need to see to know that “Lenny The Cool” was as perfect a moniker for him as you could want.

Of course, as far as Chiefs quarterback history goes, Len Dawson is pretty much at the top of the pyramid. He’s got the only Super Bowl victory in team history, along with a few AFL Championships. No other quarterback in KC has come close to that.
